It was an evening of nostalgia as the seven-year stint of Coline Lewis as senior administrative assistant at the bpTT Mayaro Resource Centre came to an end last Friday. Ronda Francis, corporate responsibility manager, bpTT, led the tributes to Lewis at a farewell function hosted by the energy company.
“BpTT is proud to play a part in recognizing how much of an asset you have been to this facility and we cherish the valuable contributions that you have made to this community. We are sure that you will meet with success as you move on to your new challenges and greater opportunities,” Francis said.
Now an employee of service provider Hydro-Tech Ltd, Lewis will take up duties at the company’s Queen’s Beach facility in Mayaro. Tricia Lynch, director at Hydro Tech Ltd, and Rennie Straker, community relations officer, bpTT, were among those who toasted Lewis at the function. A visibly touched Lewis thanked everyone for their support over the years. “It has been a great journey. I have had the chance to meet and work with so many wonderful people. I look forward to the new challenges I will face, but even as I move on, I will find strength and inspiration from my experiences at the bpTT Mayaro Resource Centre,” she said, choking with emotion.
